:: Cinco De Moio is a Latin Jazz group made up of some of the premier
:: players in
:: the Phoenix area. The music ranges from Cuban: Danzon, and Cha Cha
:: to Brazilian
:: Samba╞s and Bossa Novas. Dom Moio started the group in 2004 and the
:: first gig
:: was May 4, so the name was born and it stuck. Dom is on drums and
:: percussion
:: joined by Joe Garcia on Congas and percussion, Joe is probably the
:: busiest
:: percussionist in town due to his versatility and incredible stage
:: presence.
:: Jerry Donato plays Tenor Sax, Soprano Sax, Flute, and Piccolo. Mike
:: King on
:: bass. Brother Bill Moio on guitar and also composes for the group.
:: And our
:: Pianist is from Greece, Ioannis Goudelis, and plays piano and
:: accordion, and has
:: written original compositions for the group as well.
