Once upon a time, a bloke walked into the Tru Thoughts office with
a tape... (sounds familiar) with some tracks that had been written
using a 4-track tape and a sampler button with only 3 secs memory.
The ultimate cut and paste job was very impressive. Anyhow, a
couple of demos later, Flevans a.k.a Nigel Evans (crazy name things
going on) was signed. After some technical difficulties in pressing
his first 12", it was released to a rapturous audience, exceeding
even his own expectations. His jazzy breaks and mixture of both
samples and live instruments give his distinct musical signature a
