[About this release]
Eklo the third, is brought up by Seuil. Eklo's label boss has been
part of the Paris scene since 3 years. After heavy rotation on
Einmaleins, Minibar, Lomidhigh,..now he's pressing on his own label
with a remix from his good friend Lee Curtiss.
Seuil's music flavour is usually something between warmth and organic
sound, lots of grooves and percussions but with a kind of housey
feeling.
This time for Eklo, Seuil show us a darker side of his music taken
from all his influences from the detroit techno scene, with weird
synths, and chordy pad but always using the elements in a finess way,
to keep his groovey spirit.
Detroit candies original mix is a 11 min track full of grooves,
rolling basses and dark driving synths which will introduce to ur
mind the seuil's vision of Detroit. A perfect cut for peak time which
bring people mad.
Influenced by the crazy stories of his friends Seth, Ryan and Lee,
Seuil tries to describe the universe of this new scene which will
make damage in our Europe.
Lee Curtiss was the one choosen to re-interpret this track. His
churning rhythms with his special approach to textures and grooves,
his weirdy synths and his gummy sticky basslines turn the track in a
perkussive stripped down monster remix with hypnotising melodies and
sexy basslines. The track is an ethnic dance floor bomb suitable both
for peak time as well as afterhours.
To round up, this 2 really different approaches of the detroit
candies' taste build a fat ep which will be definitely an essential.
