chris brann (wamdue)'s melodic house alias, ananda project, first
arrived onto the scene with an ep from new york's nitegrooves
label which proved a great enough success to conceptualise the
idea for an album - an album great enough that it could possess
it's own remix album.
from "release", the remix album "re-release" provides a great
onslaught of remix talent that have been carefully chosen to carry
the ananda project sound rather than just emulate it. the
remixers are sequentially blu mar ten (good looking), king britt
(sylk 130, scuba), kyoto jazz massive (compost), kuni (lifeline,
2000 black), blaze (shelter, lifeline), joe claussell (spiritual
life music), chris brann (wamdue), louie vega (masters at work)
and timewriter (plastic city). a well-programmed album for the
real house fanatics.
(the japanese edition features a bonus track which is "cascades of
colour (joe claussell's unreleased sacred rhythm mix ii)" while
the us edition features two bonus tracks in replacement which are
"horizons" and "falling for you (g-pal's touch from the sun mix)".
as well, different artwork is supplied too.)
