:: Golden B.C. is the name of a semi-solo project created by
:: Brian Offredi in 2006. After finding it hard to find a band
:: with the same frame of mind, Offredi set to learning how to
:: play the bass and drums in addition to the guitar so that he
:: could start to write songs.
:: -------------------------------------------------------------
:: -- The name comes from a family trip in which his family
:: (mother, father, and little sister) went to British Columbia.
:: After reaching the town of Golden, they started to look for a
:: motel but everything in town was full. So having no other
:: options, they parked at a truck stop and slept in the van.
:: Offredi: "In a strange way, that memory always stuck with me.
:: So, I guess, its a dedication of sorts...to my family."

:: ------- After nervously recording a few songs onto his laptop
:: with a computer microphone, Golden B.C. released "Delstra:
:: Songs From A Basement" in May 2007. It was an EP of demos he
:: had recorded in his parents basement as well as in the
:: basement suite he later moved to.

:: ---------------------- As of recently, Offredi has talked of
:: putting out Golden B.C.'s first full-length album and an
:: electric blues EP entitled "Oh No!" was released on January
:: 29, 2008.
