| |
| The electroshock of the 90s, with its transfiguring aestethic |
| gloss, moves us to more than just dancing. The sound. The |
| groove. Elemtents that had functioned only because they were |
| always already affirmative. These elements are the content of |
| Clubmusic wich determine its forms, and as a result create the |
| charm and lifestyle of the "club scene". This necessary |
| attitude (which is reproduced in vinyl) is the transmitter of |
| uniqueness, and it transcends barriers to create a |
| comprehensive club culture. The commonalities of which can only |
| be found in the differences of its constituent grooves and |
| styles. Clubmusic suceeds in translating this attitude into the |
| fusion of new sounds, and guarantees that melodies gain ground |
| as a dimension representing warmth and vibrancy. The dancefloor |
| is steadily conquering more territory upon which all those who |
| love Clubmusic can gather in undisturbed atmosphere. A |
| compilation like Tribes of da Underground Vol. 2, "the dope |
| beats and the trip tracks, " represents in its constellation a |
| virtual meeting of current sounds, that in successful night on |
| the dancefloor become the "club reality", fused in "our |
| wonderful little world" with the vabrations of the affirmative |
| groove. The filigree aesthetic of Clubmusic redefines the |
| consciousness of style of each artist, and the emancipated and |
| independent forms of expression, in that they are created only |
| to be shaddered again in a suggestive and paradoxical manner. |
| This ability to preserve and shatter sounds emanates from |
| within, in the sensory appearance of the tracks, which are |
| today experienced as trip, dope, or ambient. The magic of these |
| club tunes exists in the openness which they are able to treat |
| all existing musical styles without predjudice. An openness |
| that shows that electronically produced music, once labelled |
| "cold" and "inhuman," has learned to live and has developed a |
| positive diversity. Infracom! confirms with this compilation |
| that "club history in progress" can only be written with |
| functioning communication structures that cause us to do more |
| than dance. The dope beats and the trip tracks immortalized on |
| the record, are the revealing and crossing over of styles that |
| come from Trip Hop, Electro, Headz, and Ambient Jungle. |
