     This is part of a special set of releases for DPS' seventh
     birthday, and we hope lovers of both classical music and
     scandalous copyright infringement will appreciate it! No,
     the irony is not lost on us at all...

     To summarise, these recordings are not by Joyce Hatto; they are
     recordings by other pianists 'remixed' by her husband and sold
     under her name. It is not clear if Hatto, really only a
     second-rate piano teacher, was privy to the fraud. Regardless,
     it is likely that these recordings will not be available in
     this fraudulent format for long, so these releases are meant to
     serve an archival interest.

     The Scherzo and 3 Ballades are taken from the Rßnki CD.  The
     Brahms Paganini Variations were created by using
     recordings by three different pianists.  Lilya Zilberstein's
     recording is used as the base with eight Variations substituted in
     from the other recordings.
     The substituted variations are Book 1: Var 5 (Kissin), Variations
     10, 12 & 13 (Raekallio); Book 2: Var 5 (Kissin), Variations 11-13
     (Raekallio).
     The Op. 76 pieces are still unidentified.  No tempo manipulation
     was detected on any tracks.

     To make file names more managable I have omitted the composer -
     all tracks are composed by Brahms.
