Release Notes:

The Swimmers have been kicking around the Philadephia area for a while now but
2008 will mark the release of their first full length, Fighting Trees, a romp
through 60Æs pop-rock not unlike the Austin boys in Spoon have been making for
the last decade or so.

Fighting Trees was recorded and mixed at Miner Street Studios, home of the
well-known Philly knob-twister/producer Brian McTear. Bill Moriarty (Dr. Dog,
Man Man) contributed additional tracking. The rest of the album was done in
frontman Steve Yutzy-BurkeyÆs home studio.

The band began to play out around their city and they soon caught the the
attention of another Philly-based outfit, MAD Dragon Records. A label run by
college students out of Drexel University known for a diverse and interesting
roster.
