Always a label which finds a special place in our hearts - the
Static Caravan crew are back, this time courting a more
demonic take on lo-fi indie stylings. Louche commentary in
this vein - sample lyric 'i'll beat myself' - always seems to
threaten busting out into heavy riffing, but there's a nice
Slint-ish element of restraint inside the noisefest, minor
chord doodles. Add to this a hectoring flip, Mark e. Smith
would be proud, and you have a pleasingly noisy escapade.
Surprising direction perhaps for the Caravan, but hey we all
need some ill behaviour in our lives sometime or other.
