Reviews from CD Baby:
Ambient but groovy... chill but powerful... good stuff.
I heard about 2 seconds of this CD on a friend's radio show before I
knew I'd be really, really into it. Once I did receive it, i listened
to nothing else for more than a week.. definitely a sign of a good
piece of work. I truly believe that Matters and Dunaway have a great
and unique instrumental sound that is not only lacking in most modern
music but difficult to find in any era. These tracks are ambient, but
they have a definite groove. They are extremely chill, but they also
are driven by powerful rock drums. It's hard to balance those things,
but this album does it. My only complaint would be that the final two
tracks are a bit too mellow and the listener almost gets lost at that
point. But the first 6 tracks are solid enough to make me wonder how
this group is not more well known among critics and fans.
I can't say enough about this album. From the moment I discovered the
track "memorial" on Pitchfork I've been wanting this album. Absolutely
brilliant. Even if you're not into "electronica" you should check this
album out.
cinematic, reflective, and peaceful

interconnected and the whole thing feels like one big emotional
movement. check this cd out if you are into tortoise, boards of canada,
