Release Notes:

This triple CD selection is based on over two decades of
deep DJ experiences. The impact of seeing jazz dancer,
Michael Knot of IDJ, dancing to æAcid TraxÆ by Phuture, in
the back room of a pub in Teddington, produced one of
those seminal moments that, Gilles maintains, radically
changed his view of acid house.

For his take on the contemporary house scene you simply
need to touch down on Disc 1. ItÆs soulful and upfront and
collects together a wickedly eclectic selection heÆs
picked up on his worldwide travels. ThereÆs Mario Vidis,
Phil Asher (Phlash & friends) and ''a really big tune by
Simbad feat. Abdul Shylion called ÆSupersonic
RevelationÆ''
Tone 7Æs æDubdub 2Æ is kind of tribal meets Ame while
BlazeÆs æWishing You Were HereÆ brings back good memories
of listening to Louie Vega in New York City and of those
afternoon sessions at Body & Soul,ö he says. And of those
''nice, thumping. Techy tunesö he simply adds. ''I like to
go there.''

It is important to say that this is certainly not a club
album as some of the predecessors in this series have
been. CD2 has other Peterson gems included, showing the
true broadness of his musical tastes. His soul boy and
disco sides show up with inclusions of such records like
Earth, Wind & Fire æLet Your Feelings ShowÆ and A Taste Of
Honey æBoogie Oogie OogieÆ where he never stops waxing
lyrical about how good the live drum production is (a
record that pre-dates drum machines).


CD 3 is a very special bonus. This CD contains a selection
of exclusive unmixed tracks specially commissioned by
Gilles by some of his closest contemporaries. Artists in
this selection include tracks by DJ Sneak, Karizma, Switch
and Carl Craig.
