"Clevis is a band stripped of all filigree. It is an orchestra without winds or
strings, a jazz band minus a brass section, and a rock group sans the singer. At
the core of every musical group is the rhythm section.
With just a drum-set and bass guitar, Clevis weaves through a song like a
motorcycle in heavy traffic. Time signatures shift without notice, melodies stop
and begin, and tempos swerve. The music accelerates and then changes direction.
