- Release Notes ------------------------------------------------------------- -
Passenger as a name might make us think a little too quickly of 90s indie
legends Pavement, but let's face it, it's a damn sight better than previous
moniker The Mike Rosenberg Band. Unsurprisingly, the Brighton lot are fronted
by someone called Mike Rosenberg!
'Wicked Man's Rest' is a mixture of indie-rock, folk and synthesized
electronic voices, building up tension around Rosenberg's
old-beyond-his-years lyrics. The repetitive - if nonsensical - words ("Are
you my angel? Will we walk all night?") fill in the gaps, and produce a
graceful result. Inoffensive, soft rock.
