     Release Notes:

Funky funky Marvin Gaye, and a great collection that takes a
look at a sometime-neglected side of his genius! The set
brings together 15 tracks from Marvin's 70s years at Motown,
and as you might guess from the title, it goes for the heavier
tunes from the time, the numbers in which Marvin ties his
amazingly soulful vocals to some really funky rhythms! There's
a few familiar tracks on the set, but even better are the
     lesser-remembered numbers
