The Main Event Biography:
The band was started in January 2005 when professional Supercross
racers and brothers Daniel Blair (vocals) and Vincent Blair
(guitar) started writing songs on accoustic guitars as a side
project. In September 2005 they added Mike McKimmie (drums) and
Alex Madison (bass) to the band and recorded a 4 song demo. They
played their first show November 2005.
After playing over 50 shows from November 2005 to April 2006, and
drastically maturing thier sound, they entered ProView Studios
with producer Adam Ruppel (guitar player for Elektra artist
"Systematic") to record their first fully produced CD entitled
"Built From Scratch". The CD released in August 2006 and has
helped the band gain major momentum locally, regionally, and
worldwide. The Main Event has a huge list of accomplishments
including:
-Selling over 1400 copies of their CD to date, with no
distribution.
-Toured the Czech Republic (December 2006).
-Licenesed their music with both MTV and Speedvision.
-Sacramento's Rock Station 98.5 "Artist of the Month" (December
2006).
-Songs used in over 10 national selling DVD's, such as "On The
Pipe 2" and "On The Pipe 3" with artists Rise Against, Pennywise,
and Strung Out.
-Songs played during a live airing of the Dew Action Sports Tour

-Songs have been played on almost a dozen National radio stations.
The future is bright for The Main Event. With the current lineup
of Daniel Blair behind the mic, Vincent Blair and recently added
Josh Adams on guitars, Alex Madison on the bass, and Mike
McKimmie/Joe Steenburgh sharing drum duties, The Main Event is
striving for supremecy in the crazy world of "Rock and Roll".
