Toolbox main man and one of the hardest working men in the industry comes up trumps with one of his finest works, which firmly puts the house back into hard house.
03.SHAUN M & ABANDON û Another Mans Language
Former Tidy employee Shaun M hooks up with resident wonder kid Paul Maddox in his harder Abandon guise to lay down a fusion of hard beats and uplifting riffs.
04.BK & NICK SENTIENCE û Flash
When two of the sceneÆs titans combine, you know the only possible outcome will be one of pure audio heaven and Flash is no exception. Brought out in time for the summer, Flash captures the mood of the season to devastating effect.
05.PRIME MOVER û Feel What I Feel
Dave Parkinson and Aaron Palmer form the tandem named as Prime Mover. In the few years that they were together the lads produced anthem after anthem and were the most in demand artists of that era. Feel What I Feel was one of their finest moments on the equally huge Tripoli Trax label.
06.ANDY FARLEY û Barriers
If ever there was a hard house hall of fame then Mr Andy Farley would be one of the first inductees. A true statesman for the sound, Andy has stood the test of time. To show heÆs not losing his desire for his craft Andy created one of the Anthems of 2006 to add to his impressive resume.
07.LISA PIN UP û Future Acid House (BK remix)
The bounce queen and club land favourite Lisa Pin Up had a string of EPs on Nukleuz and this is perhaps the cream of the crop. The then in-house supremo BK takes on LisaÆs epic to inject it with some more potency.
08.BK & ANDY FARLEY û Devastating
Long time friends and studio buddies BK and Andy Farley team up for one of their many studio projects on the ever popular Nukleuz, Devastating is everything you would wish to expect from a hard house tune, hard, funky, uplifting and Devastating to your ears!!!!
09.BK & ANDY FARLEY û Khemikal Imbalance
As the hard sounds started looking for new inspiration, you could bet your bottom dollar that NukleuzÆs main man was at the for front of trying to achieve that fresher sound. BK teams up with Andy once again to fuse together hard house and trance into an explosive package that was popular in most jocks boxes.
10.GUYVER û Serious Sounds
ItÆs very rare that a track comes along and instantly grabs you by the scuff of the neck and holds you there for many years. Guyver burst onto the scene as a fresh faced 17 year old with this epic that went on to be the platform for a long lasting career and still gives me goose bumps when hearing it.

01.MARC JOHNSON û Hoof (Nik Denton remix)
After a few years away I returned to Nik DentonÆs Toolbox label with a full on NRG based growler. Nik picked up the remix duties for this and turned in a stormer of a remix that truly out shone my original and took the track down the more traditional route.
02.PAUL KING û Turn It Up
In recent times Toolbox has been like a second home to hard house stalwart Paul King. Turn It Up captures the essence of the label with a pumping, uplifting, catchy track which represents all things good in the genre.
03.MUNKJACK û 600 Minutes
ItÆs safe to say that 2006 was the year of the Munkjack. Dave Owens and Frank Farrell took clubland by storm with a cluster of hard, heavy hitting but fun anthems and 600 Minutes was many a clubberÆs tune of the year.
04.ANDY FARLEY û Bring It Back
Mr Farley returns to bring that beat back to Nukleuz with a hard, pumping track that received anthem status in NukleuzÆs golden era.
05.BASE GRAFFITI û Implant
Upon taking over the role of A+R at Tripoli, I made a conscious effort to bring back some of the artists that helped make the label the success that it was. One of the first doors I went knocking on was to hard houseÆs answer to the messiah, Dom Sweeten. When Implant arrived we wasted no time in snapping up this gem and in the process bringing home the ever popular Base Graffiti.
06.PAUL GLAZBY & ABANDON û Tortured
Vicious CircleÆs heavy hitting front man teams up with regular engineer Paul Maddox but this time collaborates in a combined effort to breathe some fresh air into the genre by approaching the sound from a different angle, quality!!!
07.MARC JOHNSON & DYNAMIC INTERVENTION û Step Forward
Mik Cree and I go for our third outing after Serial killer and Biofilter were so warmly received. Step Forward was released recently on my Flashpoint label.
08.MARC JOHNSON & DMF û Kick Ass Elements (Justin Bourne & DIP remix)
Justin Bourne and Dynamic Intervention have blazed a trail of destruction through hard house over the last few years and took the aggressive Kick Ass Elements into more middle ground.
09. DEFECTIVE AUDIO û ASBO
Dom Sweeten returns to Vicious Circle with a hard, driving but effectively uplifting track which went on to be one of the most played tracks of 2006.
10.ZERO B û Lock Up (Edison Factor remix)
Not many labels can boast 100 releases, particularly in these testing times but LondonÆs Tripoli Trax celebrated this milestone in fine style by licensing one of the biggest anthems in dance music history. Three fresh new mixes were made of this classic with the Edison Factors being my pick of the bunch.

Vicious CircleÆs wonder boy took the hard house world by storm when he began his production career damaging dance floors with immediate effect. Attack does everything it says and lays onslaught to the dance floor.
02.PROJECT MAYHEM û Psychopath
Psychopath is a no nonsense, head down, fist shaking groovier of a track by Brighton based Project Mayhem which landed up on BrightonÆs Kaktai Records.
03.OD404 û Panic Button
No hard house album should be complete with out a track from hard house standard setters OD404. Panic button was KaktaiÆs 25th release and when dropped no one would ôattempt to leave the dance floor!!!ö
04.PAUL GLAZBY û I Need To Know
One of Paul GlazbyÆs finest tracks to date that sits loud and proud on a label which has been so supportive of his career. I Need To Know featured in 99.9% of my sets in 2005 and still stays firmly in the bag
05.EQUINOX û No More (OD404 remix)
Jay Burgess in his Equinox guise wrote and released No More on his Tonka Tracks label. In 2004 Kaktai licensed it for their Underground Classics EP with label hotshots OD404 bringing it bang up to date.
06.IAN M û Crazy Pills
Former Trade resident and hard houseÆs Godfather, Ian M dusted off the production cob webs and teamed up with Paul Janes to create the hard hitting and aggressive Crazy Pills. An anthem in every sense and still getting regular air-time at events up and down the country 4 years after itÆs release.
07.JUPE û Negotiation (Defective Audio remix)
Dom Sweeten takes hold of JupeÆs Negotiation and opens a can of industrial strength æwhoop-assÆ on it and unleashes seven minutes of non-stop, relentless action.
08.MARC JOHNSON & TESTUBE BABIES û Release The Freak (DMF remix)
DMF produces the goods with the track that sent my Flashpoint label on its way and put us on that long and winding road to where we are now as one of the more popular hard house labels out there.
09.BK û Bad Ass (James Lawson remix)
One half of the Eddison Factor, James Lawson takes on the unenviable task of remixing a BK production and boy did he lay a marker down to show the scene that he means business. Bad Ass in its original form was already a high class floor filler but James stepped up to the plate and turned things up a notch.
10.FRANK FARRELL & TINRIB û Get Lost
2006Æs breakthrough artist and rising star Frank Farrell teams up with the enigmatic Captain Tinrib to mix and blend a fusion of acid, hoovers and synths creating the monster Get Lost that ripped up clubland last year and had a host of labels clambering to sign it.
11.MUNKJACK û Hot Tamale
Munkjack return with the flip of the ever popular 600 minutes. Hot Tamale was a track that, when any DJ played it, the dance floor would shake within minutes of it being placed on the turn tables!!!!!!
