:: draws inspiration from such classics as The Police, Stone Temple
:: Pilots, U2 and Genesis. They are known and sought after at such NYC
:: hotspots as Snitch, The Knitting Factory and ArleneÆs Grocery to
:: name a few. Journeying the audience on a 45 High, it is clear that
:: Pete (vocals), Andreas (lead guitar), Rik (rhythm guitar) and
:: Donovan (drums) will go on producing a positive energy that inspires
:: one to live with passion; driving with the top down and the volume
:: up.
:: ANDREAS ALTMANN aka The Wasp - (lead guitarist)

:: brings vast musical knowledge to 45 High; coloring and shaping their
:: songs into an exhilarating experience. Each song is a sonic world of
:: its own with catchy hooks and uplifting choruses. For his fierce
:: physicality on stage, he is also referred to as The Wasp.
:: Andreas was born in Brussels, Belgium. He began his musical training
:: in high school and shortly after moved to Hollywood, California to
:: study at The Musicians Institute of Technology (MIT) where he
:: studied with Jazz icons Scott Henderson, Carl Shroeder and Joe
:: Diorio. In 1998 Andreas received MITÆs Commercial Student of the
:: Year Award. That same year he entered the BFA Jazz Program at New
:: School University in New York City from which he graduated with
:: honors in 2002. While at New School Andreas performed under the
:: direction of Bobby Sanabria and shared the stage with Afro-Cuban
:: Jazz greats Candido and Ray Vega. Inspired by his teachers, Reginald
:: Workman (Bassist for John Coltrane) and Robert Sadin (Producer for
:: Herbie Hancock), Andreas formed the Andreas Altmann Quintet. His
:: full-length debut album, 382 Central Park West, featuring all
:: original compositions, was released in 2002. It received rave
:: reviews ôàthis sounds good. Real goodà. Frankly, I canÆt praise 382
:: Central Park West enough.ö û Kenneth Egbert of Jazz Now, April 2004.
:: AndreasÆ composition skills can also be heard on Jazz-Saxophonist
:: Chico FreemanÆs album ôOh, by the wayàö(Double Moon Records).
:: In the Spring of 2003, Andreas bumped into Pete Giambalvo and 45
:: High was formed two years later. Since then they have written over a
:: hundred songs, journeying audiences everywhere on a 45 High.
:: RIK CAVAZOS - (rhythm guitar)
::
:: brings to the stage the vigor and spirit of youth, heavy guitar
:: riffs, heart and conviction. He is a daring and passionate performer
:: with a hunger to move, shake and inspire.
:: A Texas native and self-taught musician, Rik came to New York City
:: upon acceptance into the School for Film and Television. While in
:: New York Rik worked
:: as an actor and musician. It wasnÆt long before he discovered 45
:: High, joining them in 2005 as their rhythm guitarist.
:: PETE GIAMBALVO - (lead singer)
::
:: writes lyrics and melodies that burst right out of his life
:: experiences. His brilliance lies in his ability to turn the simplest
:: of lyrics into a captivating melody, rhapsodizing universal feelings
:: and awakening the heart.
:: Growing up in Long Island NY, Pete was raised on a steady diet of
:: radio, MTV and his older sistersÆ record collections. As a teenager
:: he appeared in numerous high school productions and majored in
:: musical theater at The Cultural Arts Center in Syosset, NY.
:: Shortly after Pete pursued a BFA Degree at Hofstra UniversityÆs
:: Drama Department where he excelled in Shakespeare and received
:: citations for ôExcellence in Actingö.
:: After graduating, Pete appeared in several NYC theater productions
:: including The New York International Fringe Festival's
:: ôMetamorphosisö and the Off-Broadway smash Grandma Sylvia's Funeral.
:: Pete specialized in childrenÆs theater, acting in several national
:: tours and directing at the highly esteemed Belvoir Terrace in The
:: Berkshires of Massachusetts.
:: DONOVAN PYLE - (drummer)

:: joined Pete and Andreas in 2004. He brings an irrefutable beat and
:: clarity to 45 HighÆs music. Always true to the energy and intensity
:: of the song, he creates big dynamics, resulting in a full-bodied
:: presence and undeniable ambience.
:: Donovan has been performing at renowned venues along the east coast
:: for the past 10 years. Throughout high school, Donovan studied with
:: Sinatra alumnus Joseph Mone and in 1998 was awarded the Louis
:: Armstrong Jazz Award from Delaware Academy. While pursuing an
:: Associates Degree in Miami Florida, Donovan studied with Jack Ciano
:: (Drummer for Joe Walsh). In addition to his studies in Miami,
:: Donovan attended Berklee College of Music under the mentorship of
:: John Ramsey (Percussionist for the Jazz Messengers Big-Band & James
:: Moody) and prog-rock drummer Rod Morgenstein (Drummer for Dixie
:: Dreggs, Winger), who praises Donovan as ôAn extremely gifted
:: musicianö.
