Interesting developments from dubstep head Elemental for
the resurrected Runtime imprint. 'Sirens' on the A-side is a
twisted and malevolant breakstep number with an electro
synthline that can't help but remind of a more restrained and
moodier version of Skream's ace '2D' while 'blob' on the
B-side decides upon a much nastier and yet varied route,
dipping between downbeat vocal samples and a constantly
evolving palette of breakstep drums woven into the darkcore
sci-fi atmospheres.
