Eagerly awaited and now finally delivered! Ellen Allien has
managed to squeeze a new mix CD into her tight schedule, the
brand new 4th edition of BPitch's infamous Boogybytes series.
After Kiki, Sascha Funke & Modeselektor it is finally up to
label boss Ellen to deliver the dancefloor goods. In her own
unique style, she has segued 15 tracks into a hypnotic and
intoxicating live set. Bouncy, sexy and most definitely off the
beaten track the mix features the likes of Ricardo Villalobos,
Richard Seeley, Gaiser, Sascha Funke, Melchior Productions and
Little Dragon.
After last years mix for Fabric (Fabric 34) you should know by
now that Ellen likes to join elements of the studio, dancefloor
and home listening into her all encompassing techno club
groove. Ellen Allien possesses a striking intuition for being
directly on the sound of the present - but she never subdues
herself to a certain "Zeitgeist". Instead, she is known for
shaping her own typology of sound. Sometimes a bit too crooked,
more abstract or techno than others, her personal reflection of
the NOW remains her own singular vision of the future. As a DJ,
she comes from a long tradition where the emotional and direct
contact to the audience always comes first - likewise, she
tries to intertwine all feasible facets possible in the
interaction between dancefloor, airports, studio, office, and
living rooms.
She describes it as ôemotional, noisy, trippy, weird, and
sexualö, which means Boogy Bytes 4 becomes impulsive yet subtle
too. The bass drum is not the dominent feature here, rather
Ellen sketches a voyage that consists of bass lines, effects
and the arrangement of the tracks amongst each other which
gives the mix room to breath. Ellen begins with a poem produce
by AGF who has produced her new long player 'SOOL' due this
summer and finishes with a ballad from Peacefrog's Little
Dragon. Featuring photography artwork from the legendary æshaky
heads' series by Axl Jansen Boogybytes Vol.4 rightly joins its
illustrious predecessors in the Bpitch archives.

After a few years, a few rippers who left, a few who joined, people
greeting,people yelling, people threatening, people helping, people
watching, we're still enjoying our aime: Let ppl listen to what they
are gonna buy b4 they pay a single penny.

last few years, maybe it's because of them that (against all odds) we
are still releasing and doing well, those know who they are, and we'll
thank forever.
We remind our beloved public, we're against all kind of distrubution,
don't search our rips neither in your preferred XDcc channel, nor in
your local 127.0.0.1 p2p program, We do not distribute ! But it's not
nice to buy when you do not know what you're buying.
As a matter of fact, DGN is a private group, and do not need rippers,
fast or slow shells, traders, t1+ sites, couriers, prewhores, and hw
suppliers, we need only a nice chalet in Switzerland/Canada or a Villa
in the Caribbean sea where to listen to some chillout music.
