Written by McClusky & Humphries, except 7 by McClusky, Humphries & Kneale
    and 14 by Lou Reed.

The eponymous debut album from Andy McClusky and Paul Humphries, better
known as Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (OMD) was originally released
in February of 1980. Heavily influenced by Kraftwerk, Can and Neu, the
record followed close on the heels of a cult-success single (Electricity)
released on the formidable Factory Records of Manchester. The first album
contains (in the words of Andy McClusky) "songs that Paul and I had been
writing from the age of 16." The four year collection of songs certainly
spawned some classics in the truest sense of the word. Singles from the
album included a remixed "Electricity", "Red Frame/White Light" and the
most successful of the bunch, "Messages" which made it to #13 in the
charts and earned the boys a trip onto Top Of The Pops. This remastered
version adds in a few additional great odds and ends from 1979-1980. It
also sounds light years better than the original pressing I still have on
vinyl. Enjoy this masterpiece of early 1980's musical genius!

    - Rentboy -

Greets to all groups that release quality dance music and all of you who
love it too. Please support artists you love, it's the only way they can
    keep making music.

-Tronik, a provider of decent and strict quality underground music-

:───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────:

    Group Info:

Tronik is a group that "consistently" focus on releasing strictly
"quality" underground dance music (up front, old and new). To many,
Tronik has become the only true, dedicated group, pushing the frontier
of quality & excelling beyond the expected. Full of desire to be the
best, it takes the efforts of the many to do the jobs right and truly
    work as a group.

    We are currently looking for:
    - Supportive rippers and promos suppliers.
    - Individuals who believe they can help make Tronik a better group.
