Release Notes:

They're back in a big way with this, their fourth album! Featuring Mike Jarvis
of early-90s power-pop band The Blow Pops, they are a world-class power-pop band
that continues to deliver pure pop confection that's overflowing with jangle and
psychedelia. They pride themselves on providing "all the power and twice the
pop" and never fail to deliver! Mike's distinctive lead vocals and spin on 60's
pop songwriting are still the foundation of their sound. Power-pop. Psych pop.
Jangle pop. When you hear The Lackloves, you know that they play it.
Infectious, hooky tunes that interpret the classic pop sound with their own
signature flavor and energy. "Hallmark Stars (Take A Seat)" and "End Of The
World" could've seen Byrds songs! "Marlena" is a brilliant jangly Buddy Holly
meets Hollies hybrid! "There is no possible way that the pioneers of Brit-Pop
could have known how much influence their music would have. Sure after
listening to these guys you might cite influences like Big Star, Cheap Trick,
early REM, or Matthew Sweet, but dig deep enough through the roots and you'll
find The Beatles, The Byrds, and the Rolling Stones, all circa '64-'69. They
add just enough of their own color to the 60's pop palette, creating a sound
that's endearing, entertaining, and strong enough to please even the staunchiest
nostalgia-trip snobs!" - Splendidzine.com "They have a distinct edge over
others who attempt to recreate the great jangle psych pop sounds of yesteryear.
For one, Jarvis is a fine songwriter with songs that sound like newly unearthed
treasures, not just re-writes of the past! For another, he has a distinctive
voice with that John Lennon-ish rasp to it" - fufkin.com
