our "house" man dixon ist back with his third installement of the
"off limits" compilation-series. this is a first 12 inch teaser
for the upcoming cd release, featuring new friends and old
friends:
1) jazzanova "that night" (wahoo mix)
well, i really don't know what to say about this one. i think the
only thing i have to say is that dixon and georg levin did this
remix and itÆs an exclusive on the recreation imprint. what a tune
!!
2) ┬me "tonite":
it all began on a sunny day in june 2001 in a car-trip from an
airport somewhere out there in the world of clubs and nite-life.
kristian, the chauffeur of the previously mentioned car flipped a
tape of his own home production into the car's massive
soundsystem. although the tape had obviously seen quite a lot of
tracks in it's life, dixon managed to recognize an uncut pearl of
a track. he just had to release it. a real boogie stomper.
┬me are kristian beyer and frank wiedemann (also known as vrank).
both work, live, produce in karlsruhe. vrank has already come to
fame with his act soul fc check "future sound of jazz vol. 8".
both kristian and frank were inspired by the sounds of the
eighties disco made in nyc and the aestethics of the balihu
records label.
