Release Notes:
Lack is a quartet based in Copenhagen, Denmark. They joined the Play/Rec family
in early 2005 with the release of their second full-length effort, ┤Be There
Pulse┤. Lack is an experienced lot, boasting more than 250 live shows and three
7" vinyls along with their debut album, ┤Blues Moderne: Danois explosifs┤ from
2001. In the year following the release of their debut album, Lack did one US
and three European tours, amounting to approximately 100 shows. The agony of too
many months spent together on the road eventually lead to a break-up in 2002.
However, the band luckily reformed some six months later and set out on a quest
to rekindle the energy, ambition and creativity they had lost along the way. ┤Be
There Pulse┤ - the first batch of songs released on Play/Rec since the band┤s
contribution to the label┤s pilot project ┤Play/Rec 01┤ from 2000 - bears
testimony to the unequivocal success of Lack┤s revitalization.
