█ █▓█ Like all artists, Doug Waylo mixes ambition, passion █▓█ █
█ █▓█ and his diverse life experience to create a lusciously █▓█ █
█ █▓█ beautiful and rhythmic sound. █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Raised in a small town between Boston and New York, █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Doug began by teaching himself to play guitar, writing █▓█ █
█ █▓█ his first song at age 14. While still in high school he █▓█ █
█ █▓█ formed the band Tracey Jane, recording an album and █▓█ █
█ █▓█ playing several gigs around new England. █▓█ █
█ █▓█ █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Doug moved to Paris and was dramatically influenced by █▓█ █
█ █▓█ its avant guarde fashion and music styles. DougÆs sound █▓█ █
█ █▓█ reflected this change. Blown away by the European █▓█ █
█ █▓█ dance/party styles, Doug was inspired by the true █▓█ █
█ █▓█ emotional shared bond of the music experience that the █▓█ █
█ █▓█ European social scene provided. ôGlobal music is free █▓█ █
█ █▓█ from language barriers but continues to express emotion █▓█ █
█ █▓█ and tell the story of the human experience better than █▓█ █
█ █▓█ words ever could.ö █▓█ █
█ █▓█ █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Upon returning State side, Doug found the European █▓█ █
█ █▓█ experience that inspired him at Twilo, changing his █▓█ █
█ █▓█ perception of American music. Much the same way he █▓█ █
█ █▓█ taught himself guitar, Doug learned how to spin through █▓█ █
█ █▓█ hard work and training of technical expertise. █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Receiving immense positive feedback, Doug moved to San █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Francisco where he studied audio and midi technology, █▓█ █
█ █▓█ acoustics, audio engineering and began his production █▓█ █
█ █▓█ career. █▓█ █
█ █▓█ █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Yearning for New York yet again, Doug has returned home █▓█ █
█ █▓█ in full force, not looking back. Since his arrival, █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Doug has worked with !k7 Records/Studio distribution, █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Acute Recordings, NY Love, Tracy Reiss of The Crystal █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Method, and Rosko. █▓█ █
█ █▓█ █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Doug is still moving forward at lightening speed. █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Currently he is working on a full artist album which he █▓█ █
█ █▓█ plans to release internationally. Most recently, Waylo █▓█ █
█ █▓█ has found a new excitement in not only using vocals, █▓█ █
█ █▓█ but recording his on voice on tracks. █▓█ █
█ █▓█ █▓█ █
█ █▓█ ôI believe that the place where music is truly its most █▓█ █
█ █▓█ powerful is when the sound lies somewhere between dark █▓█ █
█ █▓█ and light, between heaven and hell, when you canÆt tell █▓█ █
█ █▓█ which way the track is going to go but rather hovers on █▓█ █
█ █▓█ that line. ThatÆs the point where this music is at its █▓█ █
█ █▓█ strongest and where it tells the story of our lives.ö █▓█ █
