 If you're looking for a single disk that captures the many styles you can     
 find in Bali with high quality recordings this is it. You'll find five star   
 recordings of Bamboo and Gong oriented gamelans plus most of the other major  
 styles you may hear on the island. These are among the favorite gamelan       
 recordings. Turn it up and you'll feel like you're on the island. Lower the   
 volume and with the exception of one track (the Kecak dance) it is all        
 instrumental and makes great background music. The only thing that keeps this 
 disk from being five stars is that the variety in styles limits your ability  
 to get into a rhythm. But it's a rare compilation that can achieve that feat  
 and it's better than the other half dozen Balinese compilations commonly
