AMG EXPERT REVIEW: Originally issued in 1983, African Head
Charge's third album Drastic Season heralded a major change
in their sound. The first of their LPs recorded at producer
Adrian Sherwood's new Southern Studios, its use of
state-of-the- art digital technology is startling, and
although the group remains a primarily instrumental concern,
the differences compared to previous records are vast. - Jason Ankeny
