A killer package from Pacou's Cache imprint this week, enlisting the prolific talents of Deepchord's Rob
Modell and Mike Huckaby to transform two tracks from the Pacou archives. Rob Modell takes the original
version of 'Sound of thought' originally released on Pacou's now defunct Linear Logic label in 1999, and
places it in one of his specially designated deepchord reverb chambers, adding a sliver of woodblock
percussion and allowing the whole mass to reverberate freely into a lush and infectious skank-house
groove. 'All it takes' was originally released as the a-side to last years '10 years on' 12", a vintage slice of
Berlin techno perfection, reworked by the default remixer of choice for many deep techno artists, Mike
Huckaby. Huckaby does his deliciously intangible SYNTH thing to the material, rebirthing it swaddled in
dense layers of decomposing electronic ephemera and an undeniable deep techno soul that will connect
