dXb it has been clear since his very first release, in dXb
dXb late 2006 with æauftriebÆ on karmarouge, that dXb
dXb alexander roland is an exceptionally talented dXb
dXb producer. at 17 years of age and with little more dXb
dXb than one year since his first production effort, dXb
dXb alexander roland releases his second 12? on dXb
dXb karmarouge - balungan. the style of æbalunganÆ is a dXb
dXb kind of ethnic driven minimal electronic music, with dXb
dXb many roots and elements coming from gamelan music and dXb
dXb a laid back mood which tempts you to follow the sound dXb
dXb to another dimension, moving into a deeper, more dXb
dXb spiritual space. finally, "balungan" has landed and dXb
dXb it doesn't merely justify the hype, it goes beyond. dXb
dXb this is not a first class follower. it's a first dXb
dXb class 12?, full stop. "balungan" is ripe with a dXb
dXb musical intelligence well beyond alexander's youth. dXb
dXb the a-side track "nada irama" feels like a river dXb
dXb cruise through a tropical rain forest accompanied by dXb
dXb a delicate minimal melody. the clever use of dubby dXb
dXb vocals and hypnotizing liquid sounds rule the intro. dXb
dXb the groove and energy of the track develops out of a dXb
dXb diversified drumset and an all-out reduction whereby dXb
dXb various bassdrum variations conjure a mystical temper dXb
dXb that is smoothly tripping you out to now, to this dXb
dXb moment, to nada irama.the titel track "balungan" on dXb
dXb the flip side is related to the javanese term for the dXb
dXb basic melody of gamelan music, sometimes it is called dXb
dXb the "core melody" of a gamelan composition. the track dXb
dXb lets loose with atmospherical surfaces and a fruity dXb
dXb melody that heightens the ethnic vibe. the deep sound dXb
dXb structure and organic speaking sounds evoke the very dXb
