dXb [About Sterac aka Steve Rachmad] dXb
dXb dXb
dXb Steve Rachmad is a globally known Dutch techno dXb
dXb producer, DJ and remixer. By many, he is considered a dXb
dXb father of Detroit techno in the Netherlands, dXb
dXb respected in the world of electronic music for his dXb
dXb deep, groovy sounds that tend to rest on impressive dXb
dXb strings, melodies, funk and soul. His career has been dXb
dXb reaching its highest peaks from 1996 up to the dXb
dXb present time. Yet, it is somewhat less known that he dXb
dXb has been in the music realms for over 25 years by dXb
dXb now. Steve's life story starts in Amsterdam. At the dXb
dXb age of 12, teenage Steve already starts buying his dXb
dXb first records: to mix, remix, and cut-and-paste their dXb
dXb parts with an open reel tape deck. In such a dXb
dXb cut-and-paste fashion, he presented his first release dXb
dXb in the mid-1980s. Among these early releases was also dXb
dXb the one created for a hip-house/dance artist Tony dXb
dXb Scott. From that time on, Steve finds his inspiration dXb
dXb in the 1980s dance and electro, works of former Time dXb
dXb members (Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis), The System, dXb
dXb Arthur Baker, to name but a few. At the age of 15, he dXb
dXb also starts his DJing career with a disco set in a dXb
dXb small Amsterdam club. Nevertheless, his love for dXb
dXb music urges him to start buying equipment, which dXb
dXb would later result in a professional studio that is, dXb
dXb according to him, "everything he ever dreamt of dXb
dXb having." Today, his equipment is mainly analogue, dXb
dXb providing him with a chance to explore the realms of dXb
dXb warm, alive, non-static sounds. He laid the corner dXb
dXb stone of this collection in 1985, by getting a dXb
dXb TR-808. A year later, Steve gets introduced to the dXb
dXb house music. His attention is captured by the new dXb
dXb sounds echoing mostly from Detroit and Chicago, i.e. dXb
dXb by the work of artists such as Mr. Fingers and dXb
dXb Derrick May. Following their style, Steve's own style dXb
dXb takes a new direction. He is soon to be found dXb
dXb releasing for artists like Darren Emerson and Derrick dXb
dXb May. The incoming years are to be marked by numerous dXb
dXb successful releases on labels such as 100% Pure, dXb
dXb Cocoon, Underwater, Fragile, M-Plant, Tresor, and the dXb
dXb recent years on labels as Sino, Delsin, Music Man, dXb
dXb Artless, etc. He also made over a hundred remixes, dXb
dXb signed under various pseudonyms. He remixed a variety dXb
dXb of artists, from Taksi, Derrick May and John Tejada, dXb
dXb to Armand van Helden, Club MCM, Armin van Buuren, dXb
dXb Seven Grand Housing Authority, Victor Calderone and dXb
dXb Basement Jaxx. Among Steve's most respected releases dXb
dXb is certainly his album "Secret Life of Machines," dXb
dXb which came out in 1996 under his pseudonym Sterac, dXb
dXb and is up to this date considered as one of the dXb
dXb all-time techno classics. About the same time his dXb
dXb DJing path starts rapidly evolving as well. Until dXb
dXb today, Steve shares his talent with the crowds all dXb
dXb over the World. He occasionally spins disco and dXb
dXb electro, but mainly techno. Of all the fictitious dXb
dXb names he used throughout his career to sign his dXb
dXb productions, the ones that remained until today are dXb
dXb Sterac, Sterac Electronics, Ignacio and Parallel 9. dXb
dXb In the later years, he also releases more and more dXb
dXb under his real name. The history of remixes continues dXb
dXb into the present, including a variety of people, such dXb
dXb as M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade, DK7, Clashing Egos, dXb
dXb Sweet Coffee, Infinity (Juan Atkins vs Orlando dXb
dXb Voorn), etc. In the latest years, next to his dXb
dXb characteristic techno sound, he also actively focuses dXb
