Much different than how I remember Morthem Vlade Art's older
material. Far less goth and taking more of electronic/synthpop
direction with their music.
"Indeed Morthem Vlade Art took their time to come up with their
fourth album Photography In Things. Time that is most honoured.
Their constant way from a Dark-Rock Band into a most modern and
creative Pop Band found its highlight with this album. The music of
Morthem Vlade Art was and is influenced by their aim in experiencing
new dimensions. The aim not only to seek for the new but also to
find it. The unique way to find the excellence in the detail was
always Morthem Vlade ArtΓs finest ambition. Quite surely the French
duo remains the same with Photography In Things but they create
again a most unique masterpiece, which inludes, as quiet as it is, a
countless number of innovations and transformation. Photography In
Things stands for the actual climax of a route the band started in
the mid nineties...and no one can say where it will end in...if it
ever ends at all. Morthem Vlade Art deny successfully any sort of
catogorization, they re-define themselves with each album. They are
metamorphs somehow, develop assimalting the best parts of certain
styles and transport it into their own. If not earlier Morthem Vlade
Art became - unique - with Photography In Things .Again, they deny
the expected and are only disappointing for the ones who appreciate
stagnation. - Also in their lyrics Morthem Vlade Art show a high
level of understatement. They do not give dogmas, they deliver their
ideas of daily live, in all its importance and uselessness and only
ask us carefully to make up our own mind about it. This album is
surely outstanding and a most unique part in life."
