"Onto the album you've just mixed for TrusttheDJ. Where
do you picture people listening to it?
Well, I suppose it's a cliche to say it, but dinner
parties...hmm...and lifts!
Anywhere really. In a hammock on holiday. Chilling out
at home first thing in the morning when you've been up
all night, before you go to bed. It's quite versatile,
and when you listen to it you'll hear it goes all over
the place.
For me, the highlights are two of my favourite tracks
this year; Acupen - Skidooz, the clicky house thing
which is so fresh, and then the Bjorn Tors Opurira. Both
are a completely new direction fo music that's picking
up pace. Expecially the Bjorn Tors Opurira piece
demonstrates how amazing the whole Nordic scene is.
It really is unreal, and quite embarrasing. On my Radio
One show it gets out of hand - of the twenty-five
records I play, at least five are guaranteed to be
Norweigan. It's just such a fresh sound. It twinkles
with magic and atmosphere. I call it troll house. It
conjures up woods and glaciers and trolls and mountains,
like music you listened to when you were young. It sends
you to another place and leaves you with a blank mind. I
know Royskopp is so mainline now, but when I heard that
three years ago for the first time, I just thought
'Fucking hell, what is this?'. I got that same feeling
when I listened to some of these album tracks for the
first time, and that's why I put the tracks on there
that i did.
I hope you like it." - Rob da Bank

sweet sweet comp from the Sunday Best/Lazyboy/Blue Room
master. the first track is to die for, but the whole
comp flows nicely regardless of the changes in style.
Enjoy.
