dXb Detroit's Alton Miller brings the deepest of the deep dXb
dXb to Yore on our proud 8th release. Since 1991, Alton dXb
dXb Miller has issued more than a hundred recordings on dXb
dXb Serious Grooves, Peacefrog, R2 Records, Octave Lab, dXb
dXb and others, and now brings that wealth of experience dXb
dXb to Yore. In fact, Full Circle comes closest to dXb
dXb distilling the Yore credo into sound, given the dXb
dXb label's emphasis on authentic, old-school House and dXb
dXb Techno. Miller's sound? Imagine a more dXb
dXb tightly-focused Cobblestone Jazz with a preference dXb
dXb for polished song structures and soulful as it gets dXb
dXb vocals in place of jams. The rich material on Full dXb
dXb Circle is overall the deepest you can find, so up on dXb

dXb Growing up in the 1970s, Miller soaked up the musical dXb
dXb environment surrounding him in the Motor City, taking dXb
dXb a particular interest in the sounds of Motown, dXb
dXb Philadelphia, Parliament-Funkadelic, and Santana. It dXb
dXb was during the early '80s once the "dance music dXb
dXb crazed" Alton became friends with a young Derrick May dXb
dXb that he decided to start spinning records, citing dXb
dXb Chicago DJs such as Ron Hardy and Frankie Knuckles as dXb
dXb prime influences. By the latter part of the same dXb
dXb decade, Miller joined forces with George Baker and dXb
dXb Chez Damier to start the Music Institute, a dXb
dXb short-lived but legendary Detroit club that has since dXb
dXb become near-mythical, thanks to the pioneering techno dXb
dXb efforts of figures such as May. Following the demise dXb
dXb of The Music Institute, Miller took an interest in dXb
dXb Conga drumming in addition to DJing, which led to a dXb
dXb period between 1989 and 1991 where he toured the dXb
dXb world with his music. He then joined forces once dXb
dXb again with May, first as an employee of the artist's dXb
dXb Transmat Records label, then as Aphrodisiac, the dXb
dXb title under which he would begin releasing his music. dXb
dXb Besides his EP on Transmat's sublabel Fragile, he dXb
dXb also released his music on Kevin Saunderson's KMS and dXb
dXb a series of EPs on Serious Grooves. By the mid to dXb
dXb late '90s, he had increased his presence in the dXb
dXb Detroit area through a number of DJ performances and dXb
dXb a stream of stunning twelves. His debut album for dXb
dXb Distance has been highly acclaimed as all things dXb
dXb house. His current Peacefrog album 'Stories Of dXb
dXb Bohemia' is a powerful, moving collection of mature dXb
dXb jazz tinged, soulful house grooves with flavours of dXb
