dXb Pig & Dan surely need no introduction, right? No? OK, dXb
dXb well Dan Duncan & Igor Tchkotoua (Pig), who form the dXb
dXb duo, have been producing music at first independently dXb
dXb and now together since the late 80s. They've been dXb
dXb known to write 2-3 tracks per week, which lead to the dXb
dXb formation of their labels Submission and its sub(sic) dXb
dXb labels, Tecmission and Outmission. This time round dXb
dXb however, we see them on Sven Vath's Cocoon label for dXb
dXb its 18th release. dXb
dXb dXb
dXb Usually I wait to the end of the review to pass dXb
dXb judgement, but this time I'll start like this: "Oh dXb
dXb Yeah" is a killer little number - an intelligent, dXb
dXb teched-up cool stomper of a house track which would dXb
dXb sit very nicely in the middle of a peak-time set. dXb
dXb Progression wise, in the first couple of minutes it dXb
dXb goes through some cleverly varied and textured synth dXb
dXb work, sitting on top of a deep hypnotic bell-like dXb
dXb bass and groovy beats. Losing the kick but keeping a dXb
dXb lot of percussive energy, the breakdown sees Yello's dXb
dXb most famous release nostalgically sampled once again, dXb
dXb as the track twists itself into something closer to dXb
dXb techno for the main part. We hear the vocal again, dXb
dXb the original bass is replaced with a higher new dXb
dXb arpeggiated line, and intensified rhythmic elements dXb
dXb come in: some percussive, some synthetic, and some dXb
dXb metallic. Effortlessly segueing to the outro (again, dXb
dXb no pause for breath here), we're back to the initial dXb
dXb groovy elements, with a touch more percussion which dXb
dXb keeps the energy up nicely. dXb
dXb dXb
dXb Despite not being the title track for this release, dXb
dXb the B-side "Micro Kitchen" is probably the main dXb
dXb reason people will be picking this one up . Starting dXb
dXb with rhythmic style similar to James Holden's remix dXb
dXb of Andre Kraml "Safari", Pig and Dan soon lose the dXb
dXb resemblance and gradually build the dXb
dXb electro-influenced synths until the short breakdown dXb
dXb hits, and at least half of hell breaks loose. A deep dXb
dXb flanged bass slowly reveals itself as the snare keeps dXb
dXb pace and an acid line starts to peak, only to go into dXb
dXb a heavily panned and increasingly reverbed fit. A new dXb
dXb electro lead then starts ticking all the boxes in dXb
dXb your head that say "Yes, it's time to go crazy now". dXb
dXb Add the kick etc as the breakdown ends, and you've dXb
dXb got a party. Complete with interesting outro (a short dXb
dXb break with kick, a deeper, bouncier bass riff, and dXb
dXb some acid variations), and my only complaint is that dXb
dXb I haven't heard it in a club yet. dXb

dXb So, two solid dancefloor numbers aimed at the busier dXb
dXb hours of the night, of great quality and using some dXb
dXb very current elements in dance music without dXb
dXb bandwagon-jumping or overdoing it. A lot of labels dXb
dXb are putting out 12 inches with two (or more) original dXb
dXb tracks these days, rather than a remix on the B, but dXb
dXb it's rare to find an artist that can deliver two good dXb
dXb singles at the same time. dXb
