Tupelo HoneyÆs new EP, Machines & Robots, is jam packed with
catchy hooks, melodic riffs and driving pop / rock beats. This
effort is their third EP release and includes the powerful,
rockinÆ and melodic first single ôMorphineö. Taking a quieter turn
on ôNot Aloneö, the band explores their softer, acoustic side,
resulting in an impressive ballad. ôWe Areö is a hands in the air,
stadium rock song guaranteed to satisfy the most discerning rock
fan.
Tupelo Honey are comprised of a group of schooled musicians from
Edmonton, Alberta and formed in 2003. The band consists of Matthew
Landry (vocals), Steve Vincent (bass), Daniel Davidson (guitar),
Tyler Dianocky (guitar), and Greg Williamson (drums).
The signature for the band is their killer live show and they have
rocked stages all over Canada performing as headliners, playing at
large rock festivals and touring with many of todayÆs top rock
acts including Bon Jovi, Everclear, Theory of a Deadman, Three
Days Grace, Default, The Trews, Billy Talent, K-OS, Finger 11,
Metric, Thornley, and Sam Roberts. The band continues to captivate
their audience and builds a bigger following with every show they
perform. A live highlight for the band was the two sold out shows
with Bon Jovi. Getting the 13,000 capacity crowds on their feet
each night, the band proved to everyone that they were feeling
right at home.
The group has received numerous accolades, including taking took
home the coveted national title of 2005 Canadian Music Week Xtreme
Bandslam Champion and having their song ôScreamingö win the
regional winner of the Canadian Radio Star Songwriting Competition
in 2006.
