Brazz Jazz derives its name from the combination of Brazilian music and Jazz
two expressive art forms that have employed a colorful partnership sφnce the
late 1950's.
In addifion to playφng Jazz standards such as Boplicity and Cheryl, the group
combines Brazilian rhythms (samba, baiπo and bossa nova) with jazz
standards, such as My Favorite Things, and adds im provisation to traditional
Brazilian songs such as O Morro Nπo Tem Vez and Nada Serß Como Antes.
Brazz Jazz began as a vocal/guitar duo. The voice anc nylon string guitar are
fundametal aspects of Brazilian music. While the duo remains the
foudation, the sound is enhhanced by the addition of piano, bass, drums and
percussion.
With our fφrst CD we invite you to kick off your shoes and get in the swing.
