|::| This is a compilation of songs recorded mostly |::|
|::| in 2007, from a series of well received EPs to |::|
|::| commemorate live concerts. Since Jerome Froese's |::|
|::| departure in 2006, studio work has been largely |::|
|::| a solo effort by Edgar Froese, with occasional |::|
|::| contributions from Thorsten Quaeschning. The |::|
|::| music doesn't suffer as a result. The EP format |::|
|::| seems to have given an opportunity to experiment |::|
|::| with new ideas, sounds and rhythms, and to |::|
|::| review the past. Included are a number of |::|
|::| reworked versions of older songs, the best being |::|
|::| Hyper Sphinx (Sphinx lightning), Lady Monk (Zen |::|
|::| Garden), and a remix of Tangram. Elsewhere are |::|
|::| instrumental versions of tunes from "Madcap's |::|
|::| Flaming Duty" (Tangines.., Big sur..), a track |::|
|::| from the "Blue Dawn" album with Ralf Wadepfuhl |::|
|::| (World Away..), and a new song (All Thirsty |::|
|::| Angels Pass). All in all, I can't recommend this |::|
|::| collection enough. From the upbeat opener to the |::|
|::| mellow but uplifting finale, this is an |::|
|::| enjoyable ride. A great introduction to what TD |::|
|::| is now doing. |::|
