Bringing together the diverse styles of former bands Far From
Home, Lower Fayme and Virginia's Stars Fell On, powerful five
piece rock outfit Flight To Athena is bringing a new buzz to the
local music scene in San Diego. Staying true to their love of all
things alternative, FTA is being compared to such heavy hitters as
Taking Back Sunday and Matchbook Romance. The combination of heavy
guitars and fervent drums showcase bold, yet heartfelt lyrics that
have long made lead vox/songwriter Brian Miller's work stand out
in the competitive local music scene in Southern Californiia.
Last summer saw the release of FTA's first EP, showcasing the raw
talent and craftsmanship of this edgy, unafraid band. With a sound
all their own, a live show to keep anyone in awe and enough songs
to make any crowd rock and relate to. Already sharing the stage
with bands such as Panic Division, Strata, Kaddisfly and Enter
Shikari, it seems San Diego's newest buzz band Flight To Athena is
set to soar.
