After a hiatus of some 3 years, dynamic electro heroes Bitstream make
their long awaited return on Touchin' Bass. Bitstream have consistently
and commendably stuck to their electro guns since the beginning,
deviating little from their sonic mandate of dark and moody electro for
them what know. 'Steeljacket' introduces us to the new and updated
Bitstream sound, with a turbo charged electro workout bristling with
subtle detail and bellicose basswise intent. 'Tivoli' takes us deeper
into their realm, with a magnificent display of darkside construction,
programming their synths to epic bladerunneresque shapes that vangelis
would be proud of. 'Trumbell' takes the trip that bit further, creeping
up on you with some seriously trippy baroque harmonics you darkside
heads are going to love. 'Muspel' rounds out the EP with another useful
electro number, riding depth charged subbass and fluid electronics in
typical Bitstream style. Bitstream rightly remain a considerable concern
within the electro community with releases like this, really good to
have them back...
