Release Notes:
--------------
This compilation contains 11 fantastic Trance tracks, all of which came
out in a time when Trance was at it's peak. If you are classic fanatic,
this is the CD for you. None of these tracks disappointed.
# 1- This is probably Sunbeam's most famous track, and It's my
favorite. It blends a light choir melody with a banging hard kick and
deep bassline.
# 2- Komakino was one of the major players in the early trance scene,
and this track is a perfect example. Throughout the course of this
song, it changes between what sounds like 2 completly differnt tracks:
one is upbeat and happy, while the other is dark and brooding.
# 3- This is one of the more pacey songs, It keeps you moving while
putting you in another universe at the same time. The vocals at the
beginning are corny as hell though...
# 4- This one has a whole lot going on at one time. This is my least
favorite track on the disc because the recording quality isn't great
and the repetition really gets to you.
# 5- Starts off with gorgeous, dreamy pads which break into a choir
melody that is out of this world. The bassline is massive, and the kick
keeps you in motion.
# 6- This is a very cybernetic track that blends goa trance and classic
progressive. It's dark and sinister, using some very cool vocal effects
and a unique synth melody.
# 7- Like track 4, you shouldn't give this one too many listens. The
track doesn't really have enough elements, and the change in BPM could
be a little more smooth. All it has going for it is a stupid synth
loop, some unusual sound effects, and a speedy bassline.
# 8- I like this track because the whole song is pretty much a
bassline. The melody a drive of the track is all done with a synth bass
over a heavy kick.
# 9- Another Sunbeam monster, this one is much longer that "Outside
World", and is more spacey, mindless trace. If you want to go on a
journey, choose this track. If you want to dance, go with "Outside
World".
# 10- This has the most beautiful melody on the entire CD by far, and
the vocals are excellent. This track also has a perfect blend of breaks
and the standard 4/4 kick, for most of the track the breaks are layered
on top of the 4/4 kick.
# 11- It may seem cheaply repetetive at first, but if you really sit
back and listen this track will make you go crazy! (in a good way). The
synth loop keeps building and building, and even though you don't
notice it, the track is constantly changing.
Overall, I would say this CD is a great buy with the exception of a few
tracks. The songs are unmixed, so if your a CD DJ you'll be able to use
the tracks at your will. I highly recommend it for fans of the early
trance/rave scene.
