Release Notes:
--------
There can’t be many people with as many friends in high places in music as has
Frank Carillo. During a career which began in earnest at the end of the ‘60’s,
the ex-Doc Holliday / Carillo / Golden Carillo man has had brushes, rivalries
and friendships with such luminaries as Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, Cheap
Trick, Van Halen, Carly Simon, Golden Earring and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.
Now there’s a life story I’d pay to read.

Whatever his past connections, he’s back with a new-ish band, and a great new
album. “Someday” is a group of songs which drips with febrile intensity, framing
the American experience in a way only such soulful troubadours as Tom Petty or
Bruce Springsteen can live with. It’s intense, brooding, flawlessly presented
and rammed with irresistible, toe-tapping anthems.

There’s not likely to be much here for you if your taste revolves around the
Sugababes or Slayer; but if a little Americana is what floats your boat, kill
for a copy of “Someday” – it’s a peach.
