Following on from JAZZANOVA and OFF TRACK (DIRK RUMPF), up and
coming radio producer, DJ and media consultant KAREN P recently
delivered what is already the 3rd in the successful ...broad
casting mix series (SK186EP/elektrish). Now Sonar Kollektiv release
an exclusive 12" vinyl release including three of the stand out
tracks from the mix CD.
KAREN P started out on GILLES PETERSON's acclaimed Worldwide show.
Since then she has established herself as one of the most up and
coming entrepreneurs in the field of radio and internet
broadcasting today. She set up the Red Bull Music Academy's
internet radio station and now has has her own forward thinking
audio production company with clients such as: Fabric Club, The Big
Chill Festival, Channel 4 Radio and Ninja Tune Records.
This hot ...broad casting EP kicks of with a raw track by STEREOTYP
who has previously released on an array of labels including
G-Stone, Compost, Klein Records, Kitty Yo, Fabric and Ninja Tunes.
Their pumping number Take The Weight is a warm and soulful house
groove. SI BEGG worked with KAREN P to produce all the exclusive
Moomins-inspired jingles and interludes which help to make her
...broad casting mix so special. SI BEGG is best know for his work
on Novamute but has also released under his aliases SI FUTURES and
BUCKFUNK 3000 on other labels such as Tresor, Cheap, Skint and
Shitkatapult as well as his own Mosquito label which he set up with
CHRISTIAN VOGEL. Into The Deep Water takes in elements of dub-step
and soul to make a fresh sounding track that is exclusively
available on this ...broad casting 12". Like Into The Deep Water,
Unite by TETTORY BAD (aka SINBAD and TETTORY BLK) also features new
Swedish vocal talent FATIMA on the mic. Its a cheeky hip hop tune
thats sure to liven up any DJ set especially with that irresistible
funky beat and FATIMA's gorgeous singing.
KAREN P has even set up a club night named after the ...broad
casting series at Cargo in London. LITTLE DRAGON, CHARLES WEBSTER &
ROBERT OWENS and JIMI TENOR have all already played at the party.
KAREN P has worked whether in the broadcasting or recording studio
with artists such as BJ╓RK, THE ROOTS, HERBERT, DIZZEE RASCAL,
