█ Les epitomizes the musical artist triple threat: █
█ he is vocally gifted, he writes memorable songs █
█ and he puts on an enthralling live show. He has █
█ only just begun to discover where these talents █
█ will take him. █

█ Les (Lester Hussie) was born and raised in █
█ Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He grew up listening █
█ to the sounds of Jay-Z, Biggie Smalls and Philly █
█ Mo-Town. LesÆ musical training began at age four █
█ with classical piano. He performed in numerous █
█ talent shows and with school and church choirs, █
█ figuring out early that music was his passion. █
█ █
█ █
█ █
█ At age eleven, Les added voice lessons to his █
█ training. Soon after, dance lessons were also █
█ incorporated. Throughout middle and high school █
█ he became involved in musical theater, █
█ predominantly performing at PhillyÆs New Freedom █
█ Theatre. During this time, Les maintained a █
█ steady interest in Hip-Hop and R&B music, often █
█ copying dance moves from the music videos he █
█ watched on MTV and BET. His affinities for the █
█ genre lead him to begin writing songs at around █
█ age fourteen. Growing up, Les was inspired by █
█ the lyricism, performance ability and emotion of █
█ Beyonce, Naz, Mariah Carey, Madonna and Lauren █
█ Hill. █

█ █
█ As high school neared an end, Les decided to make █
█ performing his career goal. He auditioned and █
█ was accepted into the University of MiamiÆs Frost █
█ School of Music. Rather than choosing to █
█ academically pursue only classical piano, he █
█ decided to combine his piano education with an █
█ education in the music business. While at UM, █
█ Les has performed in several ensembles including █
█ the Civic Corale, R&B Ensemble and Maelstrom (The █
█ MenÆs Chorus). He also became a member of KAOS, █
█ a UM dance ôStep Teamö, performing at on-campus █
█ and local events, festivals and nightclubs. In █
█ May of 2008, Les will graduate from UM with a █
█ Bachelor of Music in the Music Business and █
█ Entertainment Industries with a minor in █
█ Marketing. █

█ In April of 2007, after auditioning, Les was █
█ selected as one of two artists to be offered a █
█ record deal with UMÆs student-run record label █
█ æCane Records. Les began working on his debut █
█ album in early September. Songs on the album, █
█ all co-written by Les, were influenced by Jay-Z, █
█ Beyonce, Kelis and Donny Hathaway and others. █
█ Les says of the album, ôIt has truly been a █
█ learning experience and that is what I am most █
█ happy about. I am glad I had this opportunity to █
█ grow and I am confident that this album will █
█ propel me to bigger and better things. ö. █
