ONTAYSO is formed by ESTHER SANTOYO, KOEN LYBAERT and DAVE
VANDERPLAS, members of LLIPS. & STARFISH POOL, who take ideas,
sounds and concepts of these previous acts one step further into
new creative areas. ONTAYSO brings a combination of acoustic
instrumentation and fine electronics. Lofi guitars, melodic sax and
subtle percussions are mixed with soundscapes of manipulated
acoustic sounds, field recordings, samples, and several
synthesizers. U-Cover Records worked out a remix project around
their first unreleased recordings. The result is quite overwhelming
and of top quality. This first release includes remixes from KETTEL
(beautiful and crystal clear remix), COSMIC CONNECTION (amazingly
built up with gentle sounds and lovely rhythms), MAMBOTOUR (Basic
Channel minded dubby remix, delicious!), LOESS (rhythmic track with
deep elegant beats), ALEJANDRA and UNDERWOOD (very subtle and
minimal), SENSE (a remix full with beautiful ambient atmospheres),
ADN (excellent I.D.M from Chile), FILE 538 (Downbeat tempo, nice
subbass from this Japanese talent), SCANNER (He shows one more time
his incredible sensibility for electronic music) THE BUDDY SYSTEM
(asskicking, playfull, and right on top beats) DJ GODFATHER
(Detroit electro mix with kicking rhythms and pumping bass).
