- Release Notes ------------------------------------------------------------- -
The debut EP from the Berkshire experimental post-rock five-piece sees the
band delivering a direct, powerful and intense sound to good effect over the
three tracks on display.
Taking influences from similar post-rock bands like Explosions in the Sky or
Cats and Cats and Cats, A Genuine Freakshow manage to create an impressive
sound not too dissimilar to the more instrumental leanings of Hope Of The
States. Indeed, they share the same widescreen ambition and apocalyptic sound
of the likes of ôThe Black Amnesiasö and have an undeniable talent for
creating songs of mesmerising splendour and scope.
