Release Notes:
Virginia's based Pat McGee Band are readying their
new album entitled "These Days (The Virginia
Sessions)." The album was written following the
death of their drummer Chris Williams, who passed
away in October of last year.
ôIt was written in the wake of us losing our friend,
band mate, and brother, Chris Williams. We know that
Chris would be the first in line to get this new
music. He always got so excited about anything new I
had written.ö McGee told fans in a post on the
bandÆs website.
The band faces the challenge of going on without
their longtime drummer, and releasing music on their
own since they parted ways with Warner Bros, and the
difficulties of trying to distribute the bands new
album on their own.
ôGoing independent has its challenges, and we accept
them head on.ö McGee said. ôFor now, the only
places you can get our new music is through our
on-line store (physical copy), through our new
digital download store (digital), or at our live
shows.ö
The limited availability will no doubt hamper the
bands reach to fans, but McGee say things will
change soon.
ôWe plan to have the record more widely distributed
in the near future in record stores and on digital
outlets like iTunes, but for now, visit the stores
