| X | Saint was born and raised in Long Island New York. The same area | X |
| X | that produced hip hop legends such as Rakim, De La Soul, EPMD, | X |
| X | Keith Murray and Leaders of the New School, among others, so it's | X |
| X | not surprising that he fell in love with hip hop at an early age. | X |
| X | He played drums as his first instrument and at age13, got his | X |
| X | first drum machine and Tascam 4 track and began to make pause | X |
| X | tapes by layering samples over drum tracksùusing the lowest | X |
| X | string on a guitar to play basslines and rhyming alongside his | X |
| X | cousin (now known as Anti-). By age 17 he bought his first ASR | X |
| X | and began to get serious about music production. Saint enrolled | X |
| X | in culinary arts college, but soon found that his love of cooking | X |
| X | was no match for his love of music. He enrolled in audio | X |
| X | engineering school, whereùafter getting through high school with | X |
| X | barely passing gradesùhe became a dedicated student with 4.0 GPA. | X |
| X | Saint parlayed his engineering skills into a part-time temporary | X |
| X | job offer with Brooklyn's Seven Heads record label. While there, | X |
| X | unbeknownst to his bosses, he took advantage of his access to the | X |
| X | company's master reels and remixed two songs by Unspoken Heard, | X |
| X | one of the label's flagship artists. Impressed by his work, the | X |
| X | label included the remixes on the group's ô48 Monthsö album. | X |
| X | Opportunities to work with Seven Heads artists J-Live, Wordsworth | X |
| X | and Kon and Amir soon followed. Before long Saint was offered | X |
| X | full time work as the label's studio manager and given the | X |
| X | opportunity to record his own album. Released on Seven | X |
| X | Heads/Uncle Junior Records in 2004, Saint's "Grown Folk Music" | X |
| X | included guest appearances by Mr. Man (Bush Babees), Grap Luva, | X |
| X | Vinia Mojica, Tiombe Lockhart, Reggie Watts and others. But Seven | X |
| X | Heads wasn't immune to the struggles facing the music industry | X |
| X | and before long the company chose to shift its focus from running | X |
| X | a record label to music promotion and marketing. Undeterred, | X |
| X | Saint independently released "Variety Hour" (mixed by DJ 3D), in | X |
| X | 2005, a mix CD of his production for other artists during those | X |
| X | few years. He then began work on what would have been his next | X |
| X | solo album. For one of the songs on the album Saint tapped | X |
| X | Emskee, a DJ/Emcee who was known at the time as a resident DJ on | X |
| X | 99.5 WBAI's ôUnderground Railroadö show to perform scratches, but | X |
| X | after learning of Emskee's lyrical abilities the two formed a | X |
| X | musical bond that led Saint to scrap his solo album in favor of a | X |
| X | group project with Emskee. Billed as ôThe Good Peopleö the group | X |
| X | released an EP on Germany's Mad Flava Record label in 2006, which | X |
| X | featured El Da Sensei (Artifacts), Mr. Man, Kool Kim (UMC's), | X |
| X | Cadence (Raw Produce), Dr. Becket, Dumi Right (Zimbabwe Legit) | X |
| X | and Prince Po (Organized Konfusion). They followed soon after | X |
| X | with their debut album on Japan's Goon Trax/Media Factory label. | X |
| X | They built on the success of those releases with a number of | X |
| X | international releases, including a second album on Japan's | X |
| X | Revolution Records. The group also caught the ear of hip hop | X |
| X | legend MC Serch (3rd Bass) who said "The Good People are that | X |
| X | lost soul of hip hop...I love listening to their music. It is | X |
| X | grown folk hip hop for all ages." Saint continues to build his | X |
| X | reputation as a producer and MC. He has worked with an | X |
| X | ever-expanding list of artists in the US and abroad and was even | X |
| X | tapped to perform a commercial for Nickelodeon's Spongebob Square | X |
| X | Pants. Now, a few years after never completing his solo album, | X |
| X | Saint returned to the drawing board and emerged with "About Time" | X |
| X | on Pro Se/Domination Recordings. He is joined on the mic by | X |
| X | Cadence, Dumi Right, NYOIL, Mr. Man, Eternia, Emskee, Muneshine, | X |
| X | Anti-, Honey Larochelle, Verses, Dr. Becket, Mr. Complex and El | X |
| X | Da Sensei. With a mix of Hip Hop, R&B and Soul, Saint brings | X |
| X | audiences a taste of New York hip hop from its pinnacle point, | X |
| X | providing a unique vibe, but with a sense of familiarity. For | X |
