██▓▓ relative crossover success enjoyed by the ██▓▓
██▓▓ likes of James Holden and Trentemoller, Alex ██▓▓
██▓▓ Willner's "The Field" has already enjoyed ██▓▓
██▓▓ some success stateside (Pitchfork voting ██▓▓
██▓▓ "Over the Ice" as one of its tracks for ██▓▓
██▓▓ 2006) and looks likely to garner the ██▓▓
██▓▓ attention of a wide audience with this long ██▓▓
██▓▓ awaited debut album. Apparently more in-tune ██▓▓
██▓▓ with production techniques commonly employed ██▓▓
██▓▓ by Indie bands rather than club producers, ██▓▓
██▓▓ Willner taps into the same tempered-euphoria ██▓▓
██▓▓ that made Ulrich Schnauss so popular a ██▓▓
██▓▓ couple of years back - the progressions are ██▓▓
██▓▓ reflective yet joyous, and there's an ██▓▓
██▓▓ abandoned glee in the arrangements that's ██▓▓
██▓▓ far from apologetic for it's populous ██▓▓
██▓▓ leanings. And, of course, that's at the ██▓▓
██▓▓ heart of this album - dance music written ██▓▓
██▓▓ with Indie kids in mind, a feel-good session ██▓▓
██▓▓ that's forever looking for the next ██▓▓
██▓▓ crescendo - and in that respect at least it ██▓▓
██▓▓ fulfils the brief perfectly. ██▓▓
