Flower Records - The legendary Japanese house label that inspired
their whole scene.
Tokyo-based Eitetsu Takamiya (aka Little Big Bee), founder of the
Flower Records imprint which has brought the Tokyo club music scene
to a worldwide stage and dug up hidden talents like "Sunaga t
Experience", "Su-Paka-Pooh" and "Toshiyuki Goto".
Eitetsu Takamiya has been writing for complilations like "BOSSA TRES
JAZZ" and "BOSSA MUNDO" as well as doing remixes for well known dance
artists like ATJAZZ, TENTH & PARKER, KENNY BOBIEN, JAZZTRONIK and Su
-Paka-Pooh. He Grew up listening to soul music, during the late 80s,
and began his career as a DJ. After that, he began playing at
renowned Tokyo clubs such as Yellow, Shimokitazawa Zoo, Organ Bar,
Ball, and others. For 3 full years, he was a regular DJ in the Tokyo
area in which he was so popular that he played 6 times a week. His
career as a producer, producing many artists' remixes and albums
began slowly and gradually In 1995, he started his own independent
label, Flower Records and began releasing many artists' works.
Currently, he is as busy as ever as a DJ, producer, remixer, and
label owner.
