Release Notes:

The Proclaimers are due to continue an already
extraordinary year by releasing a new album on 3rd
September. The new album û 'Life With You' û was
recorded this year at Rockfield studio in Monmouth
with producer Steve Evans, and features thirteen
brand new recordings.
'Life With You' comes at the end of one of the most
successful periods for the brothers, who broke
records with the official Comic Relief single, a
version of their classic 'I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)'
featuring Matt Lucas and Peter Kay. This was swiftly
followed by outstanding critical acclaim for
'Sunshine On Leith', Dundee RepÆs jukebox musical
that uses the music of The Proclaimers. Craig and
Charlie are also set to embark on a massive tour of
the UK, which will also include performances at the
V Festival.
Fans will be delighted by the songwriting in 'Life
With You', which demonstrates the considerable
lyrical talents that the brothers have become famous
for, and which is delivered with their trademark
passion. Alongside themes of love and yearning, the
Reid twins show that they are still unafraid at
tackling politics: 'S.O.R.R.Y' and 'The Long Haul'
both deal with the decision to invade Iraq and the
consequences of the so-called War On Terror; whilst
'In Recognition' slams left-wing celebrities who
turn their back on their principles to accept
honours from the Queen; and 'Here It Comes Again' is
a mini-masterpiece, pointing out the misogyny
prevalent in some forms of music. All of this is of
course delivered with the wit and deceptive
simplicity which The Proclaimers have long been
loved for.
