eletrobossa are brazilians edson x (drums and programming) and
michel freidenson (piano / rhodes), helped by very experient
musicians playing on all tracks like ulisses rocha (guitar) and
corciolli (synths). mostly instrumental and acoustic, with vocals
by graca cunha only on tracks 2 and 6. all songs composed by edson
x and michel freidenson except 4 - berimbau - by baden powell &
vinicius de moraes.
well, i dont know much about this duo, but the music is very good,
original compositions on the bossa nova style, downtempo and
smooth as it should be. nice to see brazilians seeking
international recognition with names like eletrobossa (with
subtitle on the very cover in english: "brazilian vibes from the
70's with modern electronic"), trying to get a kick out of the
brazilian wave it seems to be going on in europe or us. enjoy.
